- Taking pictures of your Christmas tree on Christmas eve!
- Lobster, crab legs and shrimp on boxing day!
- Loong lines of cattle queueing near Del Rio. What are they running towards?
- Snow! On the ground!
- Huge 170#, 14 point white tailed bucks jumping over fencelines with a sproing.
- Scotch in a cave bar.
- Perfectly tuned tinkling windwhimes under strings of lights on the most awesome-est porch on top of a hill.
- Driving under perfect conditions: an extremely large iced tea, great tunes, a clear night and twizzlers.
- My bed, which never feels quite as good as it does after I am away from it.
- Foggy mornings.
- Tying a friend into her wedding dress of 8 years ago and watching her go wading into the lake to splash around in the January chill in it in a “I’m never going to need this again” fashion.
- Fried chicken, bacon waffle, honey, maple syrup and Dublin Dr. Pepper.
- Running my Couch to 5k, doing 18 straight minutes because I got halfway down the road and got called to a fire dispatch and had to run all the way back to the house. 18 minutes is a personal record, I’m not sure I would have pushed myself that far had I not had to get back to the house to leave.
- Being over 17 pounds down from last year and achieving my first goal.
- New shiny 23 inch monitor.
- Henrietta turning 1 year old!
- Good bites: breakfast sausage with poached egg, hollandaise, sauteed green pepper and onions.
- The corner table at the local coffee and sandwich shop: the lamp makes funny shadows on the wall.
- Exactly what I needed, walking outside to give the cows, chickens and donkeys snacks and stopping to take in the warm sun, the snuffly animals, the beautiful sky and just soak in the being where I am.
- Bubblegum pink and orange skies.
- Having a local, 20 pound turkey smoked at the local BBQ joint.
- The Cuppow, which turns a mason jar into a coffee/tea mug. Why yes, I did order a half a dozen and will be reviewing it soon!
- Gardening (at last!). Tilling, fertilizing, planting…it was a much needed therapy.
- Using a rake head as a wine glass holder. I’d totally do it.
- Buying a new car and getting a good deal (my Hubsand RULES).
- Robot tea strainers (watch out it doesn’t go after your medicine).
- Getting to see Architects of Air.
- Dentist praise for 6 weeks of daily flossing and how much it’s improved my teeth and gum health. Yay!
- Daisy donkey sticking her nose in orange marking paint and coming up with orange lipstick nose. (How I WISH I was able to snap a picture of it!)
- Two year wedding anniversary dinner of sriracha fried chicken and waffles with bourbon maple syrup (with friends!).
- Vacation planning and finding gorgeous photographs of the places we will be going. Also, booking kitschy hotels along Route 66, a night in a B&B in a cave and two nights at a hot springs!
- Being introduced to one of my new favorite bands.
- Multicolored carrots.
- A gifted hacked together sous vide machine that makes THE best custard eggs EVER.
- Sitting out in the sun, soaking up the happy-making rays laying on my back on the picnic table. Then, catching the horses and brushing them down. Perfect therapy.

- The Ferris Bueller’s Day Off style Honda CRV commercial.
- A brand new, fast computer and only having to spend a day getting it set up to my liking.
- Getting a print (on metallic paper!) of me in Kanarra creek mailed to me as a surprise gift. Totally stunning.
- Open studio time at my friend’s local pottery studio. I got to finish my set of dinner plates finally.
- Driving home following a rainbow!
